Timothy O
First and foremost, Timothy O describes himself as a regular, down-to-earth guy living a simple life in Victoria, BC, Canada. Events in his life changed his original course of path... but the dream was always there.
When asked about the genre of his music, Timothy describes it as evolving, with pop in its roots and a country-rock-pop vibe due to the deepness of his voice, memories of his parents listening to country, and himself listening to pop music. Timothy sees his music as a therapeutic opportunity to share life experiences, its ups and downs, via the ever-present melodies in his head.
Timothy has been writing music since the early 90's and had a song played on Z95.3FM, a local Vancouver, BC, pop radio station, when he teamed up with then local producer Jarome Matthew. Timothy was able to perform this song at local events & clubs.
In 1993, Timothy was diagnosed with Epilepsy; an event that took his confidence from creating any further music. Through hardships and triumphs, he gained many life experiences, confidence back, and realized the melodies in his head remain strong and he had stories to share.
In 2018 and 2019, he wrote and recorded his first pop-country songs "So Lucky" and "What Do I Gotta Do?" With zero promotion or social media presence, the songs received admirable streams and downloads. From 2021 to present, Timothy teams with local Producer Aaron Hubley, and created, so far, four new pop songs "I'm Just Here Wondering", “I Really, Really”, “All Figured Out” and “It’s Not Okay”, and they are receiving rave reviews and growing online streams. With four videos on his YouTube page, all of this re launches Timothy O, a proud Canadian Artist of Indigenous & Japanese descent, in pursuit of a new dream, regardless of health setbacks and being of a more mature age. Timothy believes in the moment and taking second chances...
