We Have Our Winners For BC’s 2023 Song of the Summer

Judging

The following musicians and industry members served as judges. They ranked their top ten favorite nominees one through ten. The results were tallied to determine a winner.

Prizes

First place will receive a custom platinum “Song of the Summer” album to recognize their efforts. They will also be eligible to have a brief article written on them (timed with promotion as needed) by the Permanent Rain Press and ASAP Music Blog. They then get the first choice of the following three packages. The first runner up will receive a gift card to Red Cat Records and have second pick of prize packages, while the second runner up will receive the final prize package.

Package A (Song Recording and Promotion Package):

SONG RECORDING (provided by Akashic Records Inc)

• One custom instrumental

• One day of pre-production

• Two days of vocal recording with hands on guidance

• Editing, tuning, mixing, mastering

• Est value: $1000

SONG PROMOTION (provided by Unsigned BC)

• Play song on any radio episode with adequate warning, and include:

  • a five minute interview

  • commentary on the song

  • a story post on Instagram promoting the song on streaming platforms

Package B (Mix and Master)

SONG POST-PRODUCTION

1. Mixing and mastering with a consult provided by Braeden “Pockets” Rangno and Vibe Cave Studios.

2. SONG PROMOTION (provided by Unsigned BC)

   • Play song on any radio episode with adequate warning, and include:

     • a five minute interview

     • commentary on the song

     • a story post on Instagram promoting the song on streaming platforms
