Mark Branscombe
Mark Branscombe is a talented singer, songwriter, guitar and harmonica player. He performs solo in the Vancouver area and with guitarist/dobro player Michael Mahoney as The Gravel-Aires.
Mark can be described as a roots guy, Indie guy, Pop guy, Blues guy, Country guy, and importantly a working guy from the eastside of Vancouver Canada.
Mark spent 44 years playing with Mud Bay, a Vancouver roots and blues band as a guitarist singer and songwriter crossing paths and playing on shows opening for Stevie Ray Vaughn, James Cotton, Long John Baldry as well as Canadian bluesmen Jim Byrnes, Big Dave Mclean and the late Dutch Mason.
In more recent history, 2014 for Mark was devoted to recording a 1st solo album "Grandview". The indie released album was co- produced with Melissa Bandura, pd Wohl and Jesse Waldman.
The album features songs pop, country, rock, blues R&B and folk songs written from an East Vancouver perspective exploring human and world conditions. Music from the album has been used in film and TV.

2016 – Formed the Gravel-Aires a North Americana duet with Michael Mahoney
2018 – The Gravel-Aires first album “National Avenue” released independently.
2021 - The Gravel-Aires 2nd album “Headlights In The Rear View Mirror”
Worked concurrently as a singer, songwriter and guitarist with The Ormidales - Co–writing, playing and singing on two albums which received FM airplay in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Europe.
